Before he is an author, speaker, executive coach, or corporate professional, Marvin Robert is simply a regular guy who understands that life does not always go according to plan. He has experienced successes and setbacks, good seasons and difficult ones, moments of confidence and times when he has had to find the courage to begin again. He knows what it means to carry responsibilities, wrestle with questions, make mistakes, learn hard lessons, and keep moving forward. Breakaway Men™ was not created from the perspective of someone who has life completely figured out. It grew from Marvin’s own journey of becoming—a man continually learning to Step Out, Sell Out, Stand Out, and Stay Out as God shapes him into the man he was created to become. That is why Breakaway Men™ is ultimately an invitation from one ordinary man to another: Come as you are. Leave different. 

At the heart of Marvin Robert’s life is his family. He understands that becoming a better man is about far more than personal achievement—it affects the people who share life with him every day. As a husband and father, Marvin has experienced the joys, pressures, responsibilities, sacrifices, and challenges that come with loving a family well. He knows that husbands and fathers will not always get everything right, but they can keep growing, keep showing up, keep loving, and keep becoming. For Marvin, Breakaway Men™ begins at home, because the man he becomes influences the husband he is, the father his children experience, and the legacy he leaves behind. Stronger men can help build stronger marriages, stronger families, and stronger generations. 

Marvin Robert brings more than four decades of corporate professional experience, leadership, problem-solving, and real-world learning to the Breakaway Men™ journey. His career has taught him about responsibility, perseverance, change, pressure, teamwork, failure, achievement, and the continual challenge of becoming better at what you do and who you are. As a prolific author, speaker, executive leadership strategist, and founder of Renewed Life Academy, Marvin has devoted much of his work to helping people grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. Yet he does not approach Breakaway Men™ as an expert standing above other men. He approaches it as a fellow traveler who has learned that accomplishments and titles can never substitute for character, faith, relationships, and purpose. His professional and writing experiences have given him a platform, but his greatest desire is to use that platform to challenge ordinary men to become the men God created them to be.
