What Inspired Finding God: Walking the Questions That Lead to Truth™
I did not create Finding God™ because I had God completely figured out. I created it because somewhere along my own journey, I realized that while I thought I was searching for answers about God, God was actually pursuing me. Through questions, disappointments, unexpected turns, successes, failures, relationships, loss, faith, doubt, and the ordinary experiences of life, I began to recognize His presence in places I had not always known to look. In many ways, Finding God is the story of discovering that God was never hiding from me. He was inviting me to know Him more deeply.
That realization became the heartbeat behind Finding God: Walking the Questions That Lead to Truth. I wanted to create something for the person who has questions but may not feel comfortable with traditional religious answers. The person who wonders, Is God real? Is God right? Is God relational? Is God relevant? And if He is, what should my response be? Those are not questions I believe people should be afraid to ask. They are questions worth walking through carefully, honestly, and personally.
Finding God™ is therefore not about forcing someone toward a predetermined religious experience. It is an invitation to explore—to examine the questions, consider the evidence, encounter Scripture, reflect on your own life, and determine what you believe. Whether someone has followed Jesus for decades, walked away from church, never entered a church, or simply isn't sure what they believe, there should be room for an honest journey.
My own journey taught me something I could not keep to myself: sometimes we begin by thinking we are looking for God, only to discover that He has been reaching toward us all along. That is why this series exists. My hope is that as people walk the questions that lead to truth, they will discover what I discovered:
I thought I was finding God.
Then I realized—Finding God found me.
God Is Worth Finding.
